New Roads School teaches students to become active, committed citizens of our school community, of Los Angeles, and of the world beyond. We encourage our families to help us demonstrate the lesson of responsible participation, and nothing could speak louder or better than your gifts of time and energy.

Opportunities abound to support our children and enhance their education. You can:

• Help with September’s All-School Picnic
• Help with Homecoming
• Bring refreshments for a school event
• Help plan the annual Kaleidoscope fundraiser, benefitting our generous financial assistance program
• Organize the Elementary School Book Fair
• Be the “campus historian”, taking photos and film to help us document the year
• Chaperone a field trip
• Set up a Teacher Appreciation lunch or breakfast
• Attend a Parent Association meeting
• Join the Parent Association for Diversity (PAD)
• Share a special talent or interest in the classroom
• Help organize Community Action events
